QuickBooks to Sunset their Desktop Solutions after 7/31/24

Just a note, after July 31, 2024, Intuit will stop selling new subscriptions to QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, QuickBooks Desktop Mac and QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll after July 31, 2024.

So, customers without an active subscription (that is if you have a standalone version without a subscription) will no longer be able to purchase these versions after July 31, 2024, and they will not be supported.

In addition, all 2021 versions of QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, Mac and Enterprise 2021 software and lower versions will be discontinued.

Intuit will be running a subscription-based model. QuickBooks Online is readily available and of course is subscription based.

When the subscription on the desktop you have (2022 and above) runs out, you will be in view-only access which will be in effect for 1 year. During that time, you won't be able to edit your data with an inactive license. However, you will be able to renew your subscription or export your data.

Although they are sunsetting the QuickBooks Desktop versions, except Enterprise, there are other moves that a small business can make to ensure their operations and financials are not interrupted.

If you need to dive into the market for alternative solutions, assess the needs of the organization. Do you need to look beyond just an accounting solution? Do you need to bridge the gap between your other departments? Will an ERP solution make more sense at this point? What would a solution look like that will allow for greater efficiency and easy the stress of workflow management?

We are here to help!! Trinity's concierge solution services will walk you through from assessment to implementation/integration.
